FAQ's
Do I need to print my ticket or can I show it on my phone?
You can show your digital ticket on your smartphone—no printing required. The staff at the dock will scan the QR code from your booking confirmation. Ensure your screen brightness is high and the ticket is readily accessible to speed up boarding. Screenshots are accepted if internet is unreliable. Children under 10 traveling free must still be added to the booking for headcount. Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure, so arrive early to avoid stress. The crew is multilingual and happy to assist with validation.
Is the cruise wheelchair accessible?
The boats are not suitable for non-folding or electric wheelchairs due to narrow gangways, steps, and limited space onboard. Standard folding wheelchairs may be accommodated if collapsed and stored, but passengers must be able to navigate a few steps independently to board and disembark. Contact the operator at least 48 hours in advance to confirm feasibility. Ramps are not available at the dock. The sun deck has stairs only. Accessible restrooms are not onboard. Alternative land-based tours are recommended for full accessibility.
What food options are available if I don’t choose the lunch add-on?
Even without the lunch package, a full à la carte menu is available onboard with snacks, salads, main courses, desserts, and drinks at moderate prices. Signature items include freshly made schnitzel, goulash, and Apfelstrudel. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are offered. All food is prepared fresh in the galley. Children’s portions are available. Payment is by cash or card. Pre-ordering is not required.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The cruise operates in all weather conditions except extreme situations like heavy storms or flooding, which are rare. Indoor seating with large windows ensures comfort during rain. The sun deck remains open in light rain with partial cover. Bring a light jacket or umbrella. Cancellations due to weather are decided by the captain; in such cases, full refunds or rescheduling are offered. Check the forecast and dress in layers.
Can I bring my own food or drinks onboard?
No outside food or drinks are allowed, as the boat features a full restaurant service with fresh Viennese cuisine. Exceptions are baby food and medically required items. A wide selection of beverages—including coffee, wine, beer, and soft drinks—is available for purchase. Water bottles may be brought but must remain closed in the restaurant area. Picnicking is not permitted. The onboard menu offers good variety at reasonable prices.
