Full Description
Step into a cozy venue in the heart of Amsterdam, where the aroma of freshly baked dough and caramel syrup will immediately envelop you. Your instructor will start the workshop by sharing the fascinating history of stroopwafels, which have been a beloved Dutch specialty for centuries.
Next, it’s time to roll up your sleeves! Don your apron and gather around as the instructor demonstrates the intricate process of making the perfect stroopwafel, from mixing the dough to achieving that golden, crispy texture on a traditional waffle iron. The best part? Drizzling warm, gooey syrup—called stroop—between the thin layers of waffle, creating that signature sweet treat.
Afterward, it’s your turn to get hands-on! You’ll roll out the dough, cook your waffles to perfection, and assemble them with syrup, just like a true stroopwafel maker. While your creations cool, enjoy a well-deserved break with a cup of coffee or tea. Share laughs and stories with fellow participants, and savor the first bite of your delicious stroopwafel.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll get to take home one freshly made stroopwafel, along with new skills, a certificate, and sweet memories of your Amsterdam experience.
