FAQ's
Where do I pick up my race bib and participant shirt?
The Expo and bib collection take place at the Parc de la Mar, located right in front of the Cathedral. Participants can collect their packs on the Friday and Saturday before the race during designated hours. You will need to present your registration confirmation and a valid ID. It is important to note that bibs are not sent by mail and cannot be collected on the morning of the race Sunday.
Is there a maximum time allowed to complete the marathon?
The TUI Palma de Mallorca Marathon has a strict time limit of 6 hours for the full marathon distance. For the half marathon, the limit is 3 hours. Runners who are still on the course after these limits will be asked to move to the sidewalks as the roads must be reopened to traffic. A closing vehicle follows the end of the race to ensure all participants are accounted for and safe.
Are there specialized refreshments available for runners?
Refreshment stations are located approximately every 5 km along the course. These stations provide water, isotonic drinks, and in the later stages of the race, fruit and gels. If you have specific personal nutrition needs, you are encouraged to carry them with you, as the organizers only provide standard hydration and energy products at the official stops. There is also a major refreshment area at the finish line.
What is the "Breakfast Run" and can anyone join?
The Breakfast Run is a traditional 5 km non-competitive run held on the Friday morning before the main marathon. It is designed as a social "shake-out" run for participants and their families to enjoy the atmosphere of the city without the pressure of the clock. It usually finishes with a communal breakfast featuring local ensaimadas and coffee, and registration is typically free or a very low cost.
What happens if I need to cancel my registration?
Registration for the Palma Marathon is generally non-refundable. However, the organizers usually offer the option to purchase cancellation insurance during the initial registration process. If you have this insurance and a valid medical reason, you may be eligible for a refund. Alternatively, some tiers of registration allow you to transfer your bib to another runner for a small administrative fee up until a few weeks before the race.
