How do I use the hop-on hop-off system?
Simply board at any marked stop with your digital or printed voucher. Scan it with the driver to receive headphones and a route map. Hop off at any stop to explore, then reboard the next bus—no need to revalidate. Buses display route color (red for Classic, purple for Wall). Frequency is every 25 minutes (Classic) or 40 minutes (Wall). Last boarding times are 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM. Your ticket activates on first use and is valid for 24 or 48 consecutive hours.
Which route should I choose?
The Classic Route (red, 2 hours) is best for first-timers, covering major landmarks: Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie, and Kurfürstendamm. The Trendy East & Wall Route (purple, 1 hour) focuses on Berlin’s creative side: East Side Gallery, Mauerpark, and street art. All tickets include Classic. Select “All Lines” for both. Combine them over 48 hours for full coverage. The Wall Route is shorter and ideal for art and history buffs.
Is the audio guide available in my language?
Yes, audio commentary is offered in 13 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Arabic, and Turkish. Select your language when receiving headphones. The system auto-plays at each point of interest. Headsets are sanitized and replaced regularly. Volume controls are on the device. If your language is missing, English is the default. Written summaries are available at main stops.
Can I bring luggage or a stroller?
Small bags and foldable strollers are allowed on the lower deck. Large luggage, non-folding strollers, or bulky items are not permitted due to space and safety. No storage is available. Wheelchair users are accommodated on the lower deck with ramp access (one per bus). Inform the driver in advance. Bikes, scooters, and pets (except service animals) are prohibited. Keep belongings with you when hopping off.
What happens during bad weather?
Tours operate rain or shine. The upper deck may close during heavy rain, strong winds, or thunderstorms for safety. All buses have a covered lower deck with large windows. Ponchos are available for purchase onboard. Audio and Wi-Fi function indoors. No refunds for weather unless the operator cancels entirely (very rare). Dress in layers and bring a compact umbrella. Most passengers enjoy the cozy interior during light rain.
