Forbidden Forest Festival 2026 Grantham, United Kingdom
Overview
Forbidden Forest Festival is one of the UK’s most immersive electronic music experiences, celebrating its landmark 10th Anniversary in 2026. Nestled within the lush, ancient woodlands of Belvoir Castle in Grantham, the festival transforms a historic estate into a futuristic adult playground. The 2026 edition, themed “The Future is Forbidden,” promises to be its most ambitious yet, featuring the legendary Arcadia Spider—a 50-tonne, fire-breathing 360° stage—making its exclusive UK woodland debut.
Spanning four days, the festival showcases over 50 of the world’s leading artists across House, Tech House, Techno, and Drum & Bass. Known for its intimate “forest rave” atmosphere, Forbidden Forest blends cutting-edge production with the natural beauty of the Leicestershire countryside. Attendees can explore labyrinthine forest trails, sun-dappled dance glades, and hidden late-night raves, all while being part of the inclusive “Forbidden Family.”
Event Highlights
- The Arcadia Spider: A UK festival exclusive for 2026, this iconic fire-breathing structure will dominate the woodland with immersive sound and pyrotechnics.
- 10th Anniversary Special: Expect first-wave heavyweights including Michael Bibi, Pendulum (DJ Set), Sub Focus, Wilkinson, and Hannah Laing.
- New Lakeside Retreat: An upgraded luxury camping destination featuring swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and secret DJ sets.
- Silent Disco & Funfair: Beyond the main stages, the forest offers 24-hour entertainment including a high-energy silent disco and classic fairground rides.
Why Attend
Forbidden Forest 2026 is the ultimate escape for those who want a festival that feels like another dimension. The contrast between the historic 11th-century Belvoir Castle and the neon-lit, bass-heavy woodland stages creates a unique sensory experience found nowhere else in the UK. Unlike city-based festivals, Forbidden Forest offers true escapism, allowing you to lose yourself in nature without sacrificing world-class lineup quality or production standards.

Reviews
- The Arcadia Spider in the middle of a forest is going to be insane—it’s the best stage in the world in the best setting.
- I’ve been every year since 2018; the move to Belvoir Castle has made it feel like a mini-Glastonbury for electronic music.
- The sound quality in the forest glades is surprisingly crisp. It doesn’t feel like a standard “field” festival; it’s much more immersive.

FAQ's
What is the "No Re-Entry" policy?
Forbidden Forest operates a strict No Re-Entry policy. Once you scan your ticket and enter the campsite or arena, you cannot leave and come back. This means you must bring all your camping gear and belongings from your car in one trip. We recommend using a sturdy trolley to move your gear from the car park.
Can I bring my own alcohol into the campsite?
Yes, camping ticket holders can bring a limited amount of alcohol: 12 cans of beer/cider/seltzer OR 500ml of spirits in a plastic bottle. Glass is strictly prohibited across the entire site. Please note that you cannot take your own alcohol from the campsite into the main festival arena.
What are the last entry times for 2026?
For 4-day campers, last entry is Thursday at 22:00. For 3-day campers, last entry is Friday at 22:00. On Saturday and Sunday, the gates close for all ticket holders (including day/weekend non-campers) at 16:00 (4 PM). Arriving after these times will result in no entry, so plan your travel with plenty of buffer time.
Are there lockers and phone charging points on site?
Yes, lockers are available to rent in the campsite village to store valuables. Charging stations are available, particularly in the Fields Plus and Lakeside Retreat areas; we recommend pre-booking these to ensure availability.
Is there a dress code for the forest?
There is no formal dress code, but full-body camouflage and workwear (like high-vis) are strictly prohibited for security reasons. Full-face masks or clothing that can be adapted to fully cover the face are also not allowed. Given the woodland terrain, sturdy trainers or boots are essential.
